On 4th August 2025, a group of sociology students from Bangalore University, accompanied by two esteemed faculty members—Dr. Sudha Khokate, specializing in Sociology of Gender, Education, and Health, and Dr. C. Somashekhar, expert in Sociology of Profession—visited MenTseeKhang Sowa Rigpa Medical College and the College of Higher Tibetan Studies (DLIHE). The visit offered the group a guided overview of the campuses, including an introduction to the departments, academic programs, and available facilities, providing a unique insight into the traditional Tibetan system of medicine and higher education.

Following the tour, the delegation engaged in a half-hour interactive Q\&A session with Dr. Dorjee Rapten Neshar, Principal of MenTseeKhang college bangalore, joined by the college’s teaching staff and the visiting faculty. The session fostered academic exchange and mutual learning, with meaningful discussions on the intersections of traditional knowledge systems and contemporary sociological perspectives. The visit marked a valuable opportunity for interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthened the educational bonds between the two institutions.
